Job summary

Onebrief is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer to join our Infrastructure & Security team. The role focuses on coding in TypeScript to improve reliability and performance, with on-site work at customer locations in Arlington, VA.

You will own reliability targets, build observability, and lead incident response while collaborating with product and DevOps. A Secret clearance is required and relocation assistance is provided for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• 5+ years in software engineering, SRE, or related role with real-time code experience.
• Strong TypeScript experience or willingness to work primarily in TypeScript.
• Solid grasp of full SDLC and reliability integration at each stage.
• Experience with incident response, root cause analysis, and durable fixes.

Responsibilities

• Improve production application reliability by fixing issues in the codebase (TypeScript).
• Build observability with Prometheus, Loki, Grafana, and alerting tied to behavior.
• Define and measure SLIs/SLOs, and wire up actionable alerts.
• Lead incident response and blameless postmortems to find root causes.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks and share solutions across teams.
