Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid EIPA score of 3.5 or higher is required.
• Experience providing sign language interpretation in educational settings.
• Familiarity with supporting special education initiatives.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver real-time sign language interpreting services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing in classroom, small group, and school-wide settings.
• Support special education instruction and facilitate clear communication between students, teachers, and peers.
• Collaborate closely with educators and support staff to identify and address student needs.
• Adapt interpreting style to support vocabulary and concepts appropriate for students from various grade levels.
• Maintain confidentiality, remain attentive, and adhere to school and district policies at all times.
• Serve as a positive role model for students and contribute to an inclusive learning environment.
