Job summary

Turner & Townsend in New Orleans, LA is seeking an Onsite Senior Project Manager to oversee innovative EV charging construction projects for a high-profile technology client. You will manage the installation and delivery of multiple EV charging sites, engaging with the Preconstruction team from schematic design through handover.

The role requires GC experience, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to advise at a strategic level during conception, with on-site presence three days

Qualifications

  • Construction project management experience in a client-facing role.
  • College degree in Construction Management or a related field, and PMP certification.
  • Membership in relevant professional organizations.
  • Experience managing demanding stakeholders and work stream managers.
  • Experience managing commercial real estate or relatable construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.
  • Financial management – Ensuring prompt client invoicing and monitoring a project’s financial status.
  • Project planning, including producing the detailed project plan.
  • Monitoring and applying performance management techniques.
  • Managing the change control process.
  • Managing the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communications.
  • Preparing formal project budget progress and other reports.
  • Quality Control – Ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Working to construct proposals for new work or variations for existing projects.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve Project Management procedures, templates and products referring ideas to the appropriate line manager.
  • Identifying and ensuring that the appropriate line manager is aware of quality, safety, health and environment issues.
  • Establishing effective project governance, processes and systems to be utilized throughout project.
  • General line management responsibilities (where appropriate) are effectively discharged.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Job Description

Turner & Townsendare seeking an experiencedOnsiteSeniorProject Managerin New Orleans, LA responsible for overseeing innovative EV Charging construction projects for a high-profile technology client. In this role, you will manage the installation and delivery of multiple EV Charging sites. You will be engaged in the project at the Schematic Design phase with the in-house Preconstruction team. The role includes bidding and awarding architectural and General Contracting teams, stakeholder management, managing and delivering project through final completion and handover.

Responsibilities:

Qualifications
  • Prior GC experience preferred.
  • Ability to be onsite 3 days a week in New Orleans, LA.
  • Ability to advise at a strategic level during the project conception stage, including providing advice on the different approaches that can be adopted in order to successfully achieve the client’s overall objectives.
  • Great time management skills. Ensure that project is managed to the right quality standards, completed efficiently and on time.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with clients and cross-functional team members.
  • Experience working as an effective team member within the context of delivering a specific commission.
  • Business development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross‑selling opportunities, are identified.
  • Key information and data is effectively shared and appropriately retained.

Education/Experience:

  • Construction project management experience and the ability to be highly effective in a client facing role.
  • College degree in Construction Management or a related field, and PMP certification.
  • Membership in relevant professional organizations.
  • Experienced managing demanding stakeholders and work stream managers.
  • Experience managing commercial real estate or relatable construction projects.
Additional Information

The salary range for this role is $140,000 - $160,000. This range reflects the company's good faith estimate of the base salary for this position at the time of the posting. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
