Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced and highly organized Assistant Project Manager with 3–5 years of construction project experience to support EV service center construction. You will manage onboarding, dashboards, POs, documentation, and stakeholder communications on fast-paced projects in San Francisco.

The role involves field and office work, posting regular updates, and coordinating with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth project execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in construction project management or related roles.
  • Exposure to EV infrastructure or service center construction is beneficial.
  • Experience supporting construction of service centers, transportation hubs, or infrastructure-heavy facilities.
  • Familiarity with permitting and utility coordination processes.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Procore.
  • Experience with dashboard tools such as Power BI or Smartsheet is a plus.
  • Onsite capability in San Francisco, CA (3 days a week).

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of EV service center construction projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and timelines.
  • Manage onboarding processes for project team members and vendors.
  • Maintain dashboards and trackers to monitor project progress, milestones, and performance metrics.
  • Coordinate purchase orders (POs), document control, and project communications.
  • Facilitate regular meetings and ensure timely flow of information between stakeholders.
  • Track and update key project milestones to support schedule adherence.
  • Assist with field coordination and issue resolution during construction.
  • Ensure project documentation is complete, organized, and accessible.
  • Support commissioning and close-out activities, including punch list tracking and final documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Contribute to project reporting and status updates for internal and client stakeholders.
  • Assist with onboarding new vendors and team members, ensuring smooth integration into project workflows.
  • Support coordination of utility connections and permitting processes related to EV infrastructure.
  • Help manage project budgets and track expenditures against forecasts.
  • Monitor and report on safety compliance and site conditions during construction.
  • Coordinate with IT and facilities teams to support integration of EV charging systems and operational technologies.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and knowledge sharing across teams.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Additional Information

The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $130,000. This range reflects the company's good faith estimate of the base salary for this position at the time of the posting. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
