Job summary

P2S is hiring a Sr. Project Engineer for our Long Beach, CA office. This on-site role requires a minimum of 6+ years in construction as a project engineer or similar, with preferred experience in Design-Build and CMAR.

CSU experience and institutional higher education exposure are assets. Expect to lead document control and support preconstruction through closeout, with a performance-based bonus potential. The position offers full-time hours, a competitive base salary, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6+ years of experience in the construction industry as a project engineer or similar, including major capital projects.
• Design-Build experience preferred; CMAR experience is a plus
• Institutional/Higher Education experience preferred but not required
• CSU experience is a plus but not required
• Experience working for a general contractor on large construction projects is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude

Responsibilities

• Provide design, technical, and administrative support during preconstruction, construction, and closeout phases
• Manage project document control, including circulating, receiving, tracking, and maintaining organized files (e.g., plans, meeting minutes, RFIs, submittals, change orders, ASIs, schedules, etc.)
• Oversee document management throughout all phases of design development and permitting
