LayerZero Power Systems LLC in Aurora, Ohio, is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design and analysis of power systems products, including Static Transfer Switches and Power Distribution Units. You will drive thermal and structural performance using advanced FEA and CFD, validate models through prototypes and testing, and optimize CAD for manufacturing.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on experience in electromechanical design, solid knowledge of NFPA/UL/IEC standards,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering (PhD preferred).
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable.
• 5+ years of mechanical design and simulation experience for electromechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and analysis for power systems, including Static Transfer Switches and Power Distribution Units.
• Perform advanced FEA and CFD to drive thermal and mechanical performance.
• Validate models via calculations, prototypes, and testing.
• Optimize CAD models for internal manufacturing capabilities.
• Lead RCA and provide technical resolutions for field issues.
