Job summary

Cumming Group in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Commissioning Engineer in semiconductor manufacturing to support project teams on-site. You will assist the Project Manager with design, bid, and project phase scheduling, and help maintain schedules and costs.

This full-time role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 1–2 years of construction experience, plus strong communication and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in project construction.
• Experience with design and bid formulation and project phase scheduling.
• Ability to facilitate site meetings and prepare meeting minutes.

Responsibilities

• Assist top Project Manager on site in formulation of the design, bid, and Project phase scheduling of the assigned project(s).
• Provide update/status reporting for work in progress including costs and schedules.
• Assist in the Addenda and Bid process.
• Administer Project sub-contracts.
• Under the supervision of Project Manager(s) facilitate job site meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Under supervision of Project Manager(s) conduct close out activities and assist with building occupancy.
• Assist the project management team with various parts of the project such as constructability review, value engineering, pay app reviews, schedule development, FF&E program development and execution.
• Assist in formulating the design, bid, and project phase of scheduling.
• Assist in the Addenda and Bid process.
• Under supervision of Project Manager, conduct pre-bid and job start meetings.
• Monitor contract compliance and report concerns to Project Manager.
• Under supervision of Project Manager, facilitate job site meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
• Oversee approvals from applicable government agencies are received and documented.
• Under supervision of Project Manager, conduct close out activities and assist with building occupancy.
• Prepares field reporting for review by Project Manager.
• Perform QA/QC process.
• Review change orders for completeness and conformance to company and client standards.
• Review RFIs/Submittals for completeness before distribution to design team.
• Provide basic CPM scheduling and budget management.
• Review and maintain As Built drawings.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Attendance at work during normal business hours.
