Job summary

Rainstone Roof & Gutter in the Greater San Luis Obispo Area is seeking a Seamless Gutter Installer to measure rooflines, cut and form gutters, and install gutters, downspouts, and guards according to project specs.

You will load materials, set up work areas, inspect work for proper water flow, and communicate issues to customers and supervisors. The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and teamwork with the roofing crew.

Qualifications

• Experience with gutter installation, roofing-related work, or exterior construction, including measuring, cutting, and safely working at heights.
• Ability to use hand and power tools (e.g., snips, drills, saws, ladders) and operate gutter machines or forming equipment safely and accurately.
• Knowledge of basic building, drainage, and water management principles, including gutter slopes, downspout placement, and leak prevention.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to inspect and identify issues with gutters, flashing, and rooflines.
• Reliable transportation to job sites within the Greater San Luis Obispo Area and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Commitment to safety practices, including proper ladder use, fall protection, and handling of materials on roofs and elevated surfaces.
• Clear, professional communication skills for coordinating with team members and interacting respectfully with customers.
• Ability to lift and carry materials, perform physical tasks throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Load materials, set up ladders and work areas, remove old gutter components as needed, and ensure clean, professional installations.
• Inspect completed work for proper pitch, secure fastening, and effective water flow.
• Identify and communicate roof or drainage issues to supervisors or customers.
• Perform basic maintenance and repair of existing gutter systems.
• Document work with photos and maintain a safe, organized job site in coordination with the roofing and gutter team.
