Responsibilities

• Prepares sterile media, reagents, stains, chemicals, standards, etc., per lab manuals.
• Maintains microorganisms and other living specimens as required.
• Maintains viability and quality control of bacterial cultures used in labs.
• Sets up and tests lab equipment and materials.
• Plan and prepare equipment and materials for future labs.
• Maintain lab safety and dispose of chemical waste per plan.
• Assist instructors and supervise student lab assistants.
