Job summary

MEI Rigging & Crating is seeking a Site Safety Manager to support field operations across multiple disciplines. You will conduct site inspections, ensure safety compliance, and lead incident investigations to promote an injury-free operation.

The role requires strong communication of EHS policies and training program delivery at MEI sites. You will manage safety programs, assist with risk assessment, coordinate with customers, and lead continuous improvement in safety practices while mentoring

Qualifications

• Be qualified to recognize safety hazards.
• Hold current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and AED.
• Possess OSHA 30-hour Construction Card updated every two years.
• Have either a safety degree or 3 years of construction safety management experience; hold ASP, CHST, or CSP.
• Minimum 5 years EHS or safety experience in construction or manufacturing at multi-site org.
• Minimum 5 years experience with OSHA standards.
• Minimum 5 years experience with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Work under the Region EH&S Manager to support field operations across multiple disciplines.
• Support site inspection, safety compliance, and incident investigations to promote zero-incident goals.
• Communicate MEI EHS policies, guidelines, and regulatory changes to sites and customers.
• Provide training on required safety certifications and maintain training records.
• Develop and maintain incident prevention programs and safety systems.
• Coordinate with customers on on-site safety initiatives and risk mitigation.
• Conduct daily audits and pre-task plan approvals using a hierarchy of controls.
• Prepare site safety reports, audits, and training documentation as needed.
