Job summary

The State Group is seeking a Safety Coordinator for a 15-month project in Bowling Green, Ohio. You will serve as a safety contact for customers, contractors, and regulators on job sites, delivering orientations, inspections, and investigations to ensure compliance and safe work practices.

With a focus on continuous improvement, you will drive safety audits, track corrective actions, and promote a strong safety culture across the project team and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of safety experience in the construction industry.
• OSHA 30 is required; OSHA 510 is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in safety or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key safety contact for customers, contractors, and regulatory agencies on job sites.
• Conduct safety orientation and training for all new employees.
• Conduct and document inspections and incident investigations in a timely and accurate manner.
• Perform safety audits of the job site and work areas.
• Track audit findings, inspections, and corrective actions to ensure timely closure.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
• Report safety concerns to Safety Management and Operations leadership.
• Improve safety culture through accountability and continuous improvement.
