Job summary

Paths is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to work under the Superintendent in maintaining a residential building in Columbus, OH. The role focuses on safe, economical maintenance of the building, grounds, and mechanical equipment.

You will supervise maintenance staff, respond to emergencies, manage work orders, and ensure compliance with building rules and local regulations. A High School diploma and at least three years of maintenance experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to lead maintenance staff and meet deadlines.
• Experience with painting, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and adjustments (carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring).
• Ensure compliance with building rules and regulations.
• Clean public spaces and maintain appliances/equipment.
• Handle urgent work orders in apartments.
• Inspect common areas and units regularly.
• Operate building equipment and identify required work.
• Report work orders to management and respond to emergencies 24/7.
