Job summary

Cypress Homes, Inc. in Appleton, WI is seeking an Interior Designer for an on-site role with local project-site travel.

You will collaborate with sales, project managers, suppliers, and homeowners to turn client preferences into cohesive, beautifully finished spaces. Responsibilities include coordinating material selections, managing budgets and timelines, preparing change orders, and supporting model homes.

Qualifications

• Formal education in Interior Design required; associate degree or higher preferred.
• 4–7 years of residential interior design experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of color, texture, finishes, materials, and spatial-design principles.
• Basic proficiency with Adobe programs, Publisher, image-editing tools, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the sales team to understand client timetable, preferences, budget, key needs, and obstacles.
• Establish design objectives involving interior style, color, finishes, materials, and budget parameters.
• Coordinate selections, quotes, samples, orders, deliveries, and installation timelines.
• Prepare, obtain authorization for, and communicate change orders to clients and partners.
• Prepare subcontractor packs and project site binders, and maintain final selections in project software.
• Attend pre-construction meetings and communicate next steps to homeowners and teams.
