Job summary

UT Health San Antonio in Fort Hood, TX is seeking a Research Area Specialist-Associate to operate a specialized educational/social science research area on-site. This role supports recruitment, data collection, and day-to-day research project operations in a grant-funded environment.

Under supervision, you will coordinate tasks, schedule subjects, manage data, assist literature reviews, prepare materials for publication, and mentor junior staff as needed while ensuring compliance with grant

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate work within schedule constraints.
• Demonstrated ability to monitor important and complex projects concurrently.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes/other email software.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, including memos, letters, and other correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Assists in conducting research projects according to the plan.
• Schedules research subjects and collects data for entry into the research database.
• Assists with literature reviews and keeps information current.
• Maintains information and literature, and stays updated on developments in research areas.
• Prepares materials for publication.
• Trains and guides lower level research staff in techniques and instrument use.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
