Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Project Quality Manager II to oversee quality on a capital project from the owner's/EPC side.

You will write the project quality plan, set surveillance/audit programs for contractors and suppliers, qualify vendors, and report quality performance to the project manager and the owner's quality organization. Turnover readiness is the ultimate goal.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in quality on construction or industrial capital projects, including 2+ years leading a project quality program.
• ISO 9001 lead or internal auditor certification.
• ASQ CQA or CMQ-OE preferred.
• Experience with owner-side quality programs in industrial, energy, infrastructure, or federal work.
• Able to write quality requirements that contractors can actually execute, and to enforce them.

Responsibilities

• Write the project quality plan and the contractor and supplier quality requirements that flow from it.
• Plan and lead surveillance and audits of contractors and suppliers.
• Qualify vendors and inspection agencies.
• Review and accept contractor QC plans, ITPs, procedures, and inspector qualifications.
• Own the project nonconformance, corrective-action, and lessons-learned processes.
• Report quality metrics and risks to project leadership and the owner's quality organization.
• Turnover readiness and completeness of quality records for turnover.
