Job summary

ProSearch Recruiting Partners, on behalf of a leading robotics OEM, seeks a Project Manager inKansas City, MO to manage full-cycle material handling automation projects, from concept through completion, in an on-site environment.

This developmental role offers mentorship from seasoned project and engineering managers, exposure to AMHS system architecture, and collaboration with customers, suppliers, and internal teams. Salary ranges from $80k to $97k with bonus potential and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 3 years hands-on experience in industrial material handling or automation.
• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, E Plan, MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage material handling automation projects from concept through completion.
• Develop project layouts using AutoCAD while considering safety, quality, and functionality.
• Coordinate design and layout details with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Gather and analyze data to guide engineering, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Troubleshoot and problem-solve issues during planning and installation phases.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction and coordinate technical needs.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation throughout the life cycle.
• Support vendor selection through competitive bids and quote reviews.
• Review and prepare project specifications, RFQs, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate installation schedules and monitor site progress and quality.
• Contribute to project closeout with final documentation, manuals, and deliverables.
