Job summary

Jackson Construction in Texas is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer for the Fort Sam Houston project in Five Points. You will provide support to scheduling, documentation, safety, and coordination, working primarily on-site with the Project Manager and Superintendent.

A Construction Management degree is required. You will manage submittals, RFIs, punch lists, and closeout, while building professional relationships with Owners, Architects, and Subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Willing to train a new graduate; 1+ years experience in the construction industry a plus.
• Familiarity with construction processes, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with construction management software (Procore preferred).
• Effective written and verbal communication across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling and documentation to support project start-up.
• Maintain records of submittals, RFIs, architect instructions, and updates to record set construction documents.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors under PM supervision.
• Support safety and quality initiatives on-site with the Superintendent.
• Provide daily on-site support to the project team and manage resources.
• Assist with punch list execution and closeout documentation.
• Build relationships with Owners, Architects, and Subcontractors.
