Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science or Metallurgy from an accredited institution.

• Preferred: 3 years engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Plans and formulates engineering programs within area of assigned responsibility.
• Implements and reviews process design for compliance with engineering principles and customer requirements.
• Supports technical development, cost reduction, and investigation of engineering issues.
• Evaluates and approves design changes, specs and drawing releases.
• Provides technical support for coating, brazing, or manufacturing areas.
• Interfaces with production, suppliers, and customers on technical issues.
• Performs process quality investigations and cost reductions.
• Develops and implements process improvements and waste elimination.
• Designs tools and fixtures for processing and generates work instructions.
• Translates customer requirements into usable work instructions.
