Job summary

Howmet Aerospace in Wichita Falls, Texas, is seeking an Engineering professional to develop manufacturing methods for parts that meet customer requirements, with a focus on reducing labor content and increasing yields. Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States with no visa sponsorship available.
  • This position entails access to export-controlled items and eligibility to obtain access is required.
  • Preferred: Kaizen, continuous improvement and formal problem solving experience.
  • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop manufacturing methods to meet customer requirements and improve yields.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts to reduce labor content and increase efficiency.
  • Conceive, evaluate and implement cost reduction and part/process improvements.
  • Investigate external customer escapes and implement corrective actions.
  • Attend NPI meetings and provide input on BOM, routings and milestones.
  • Provide technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration on the shop floor.
