Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services seeks a Probation and Parole Officer to support field operations and manage non-sworn duties related to caseloads.

You will monitor compliance for standard offenders, prepare progress reports and conduct community contacts, review financial obligations, and assist with cashier duties when needed. This is an on-site position based in Columbia, SC with state benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree may be substituted for experience.
• Preferred: 2–3 years in criminal justice or related field; or 3–5 years relevant program experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Probation and Parole Law Enforcement Officers including non-sworn duties in caseload management.
• Perform compliance monitoring on standard offenders with progress reports and community contacts.
• Review offender financial obligations and other supervision conditions.
• Carry out cashier duties in the absence of the Field Office Specialist.
