Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon Services is seeking an on-site professional to assist probation and parole officers with non-sworn duties, monitoring compliance and managing caseloads using specialized technology. You will review offender financial obligations, prepare progress reports, and conduct community contacts as part of daily operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and relevant program experience.
• A bachelor's degree may be submitted for the required program experience.
• 2–3 years of work experience directly related to criminal justice (probation & parole, law enforcement, corrections) or armed services; or 3–5 years of the aforementioned relevant program experience.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assisting Probation and Parole Law Enforcement Officers to include non-sworn duties by monitoring compliance or using technology in the management of the caseload. Performs compliance monitoring on Standard level offenders to include conducting required non-field related progress reports and community contacts; reviews offender financial obligations and other special conditions of supervision. Performs other related duties as required to include cashier duties in the absence of the Field Office Specialist.
