Job summary

RCCHC in Aulander, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in collaboration with providers and support staff. The RN will assess patients, administer medications and immunizations as ordered, and respond to emergencies following RCCHC policies and the standard of care.

The role requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work at multiple locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate competencies in nursing practice and utilization of the nursing process.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the lifespan and assess patient data accordingly.
• Must have effective communication, initiative, problem-solving ability, accountability, flexibility, stress management and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize nursing actions reflecting patient needs and acuity.
• Provide patient care based on scientific principles and nursing theory.
• Administer medications/immunizations as ordered; observe for reactions.
• Perform dependent duties like EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen handling.
• Collaborate with providers and other staff to ensure quality outcomes.
