Commonwealth of VA Careers is seeking a Moonlighting Primary Care Physician (On-Site) for Eastern State Hospital in Virginia. The role includes comprehensive patient care for adults and geriatrics, with admission, exam, diagnosis and initial treatment, and on-call duties.

Requirements include Virginia medical license, current DEA registration, and MD or DO with Internal/Family Medicine residency; on-call availability is required.

Formación

• Current, Virginia license to practice Medicine in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Current DEA registration.
• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy and completion of an accredited / approved Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency program. Available to serve as an on-call physician when scheduled.

Responsabilidades

• Provides patient care including admission, physical examination, diagnosis and initial general medical treatment of adult and geriatric patients.
• Monitors and manages acute and chronic medical conditions as part of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Ensures medical record documentation compliance and supports reimbursement activities for medical coding and billing.
• Serves as an on-call physician when scheduled and as needed.

Educación

Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy and completion of an accredited/approved Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency program
