Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services seeks a Moonlighting Primary Care Physician for an on-site role at Eastern State Hospital in Virginia. The physician will perform admissions, physical examinations, diagnoses and initial treatments for adult and geriatric patients, while ensuring medical record compliance and supporting reimbursement processes.

The successful candidate must hold an MD or DO with Internal or Family Medicine residency, possess a Virginia license and DEA

Formación

• Current Virginia medical license required.
• Current DEA registration.
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) with internal or family medicine residency completed.

Responsabilidades

• Provide admission, examination, diagnosis and initial general medical treatment for adults and geriatric patients.
• Maintain medical record documentation in compliance with state/federal regulations and JC standards.
• Ensure medical coding/billing documentation supports reimbursement.
• Serve as on-call physician as scheduled.
