Job summary

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator/Machinist to set up, maintain and operate production machinery on site in Newberry, SC. The role requires attention to machine calibration, documentation, and quality checks throughout each shift.

You will read and follow manufacturing instructions, work with measuring tools, and ensure output meets specifications. Eligibility to work in the United States and 5+ years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in a skilled trades field preferred.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Ability to stand 8–10 hours per day.
• Overtime opportunities possible.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Must pass drug test and background check.
• Must be 18 or older and eligible to work in the United States.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines (calibration, cleaning) to start a production cycle.
• Control and adjust machine settings (speed).
• Feed raw materials or parts to semi-automated machines.
• Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
• Test operation of machines periodically.
• Fix issues that occur during the shift.
• Maintain activity logs and records of units produced.
• Follow management instructions; duties may change.
