Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team in Elko, NV. The role involves blood collection by venipuncture and capillary techniques, specimen handling, data entry, and travel to additional sites as needed.

The position requires Nevada licensure as a laboratory assistant or an equivalent license filed with the NV Department of Health at hire. Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Nevada license required or an application filed with NV Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
