Job summary

Kroger West Lafayette stores in Indiana are seeking a licensed pharmacist to manage on-site pharmacy operations, ensure outstanding customer service, and control inventory in line with state and corporate policies.

Responsibilities include leading the pharmacy team, monitoring budget and labor costs, processing prescriptions, scheduling staff, and collaborating with local physicians. A Pharm.D. or Bachelor of Pharmacy is required, with 2+ years of retail experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy and/or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (Pharm.D.) from an accredited U.S. School of Pharmacy
• 2+ years related retail experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Participation in clinical programs following company sponsored training
• Ability and willingness to continue education as necessary
• Ability to preserve confidentiality of information
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to read and interpret prescriptions and documents
• Proven leadership skills
• License must be in good standing

Responsibilities

• Perform all functions of a staff pharmacist and lead the pharmacy team
• Develop and promote the sales plan and initiatives
• Follow all legal and company requirements
• Direct the team to optimize warehouse utilization and reduce overstock
• Ensure accurate ordering and inventory records
• Monitor controlled substance procedures
• Monitor third-party profitability and audits
• Schedule staff to control labor costs
• Maintain pharmacy records per laws and policies
• Meet budgeted labor, volume, inventory and sales goals
• Detail local physicians and community targets
• Participate in public health initiatives and disease state management
• Travel as needed to support business needs
• Coach and review direct reports
