Job summary

Clarest Health is seeking a Full Time Pharmacist to ensure seamless medication delivery to long term care facilities. This on-site role is based in Cheshire, CT with a starting salary of $130,000–$135,000 depending on experience.

Schedule is Mon–Fri 3:30pm–12:00am, with every third weekend, reporting to the Pharmacist In Charge. Benefits include comprehensive insurance, 401(k) with company match, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree required; PharmD preferred.
• CT pharmacist license in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year healthcare pharmacist experience.
• LTC pharmacy or related setting preferred.
• Knowledge of Docutrack and related systems preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. occasionally.
• Stand for extended periods during shift.

Responsibilities

• Check and review Floor Technician work (PV2).
• Verify and replace contents of E-Kits.
• Pull control medication to match label.
• Maintain count accuracy in the control room.
• Compound sterile and non-sterile products.
• Make necessary NDC changes.
• Process backorders as needed.
• Fill and review OOP/LOA requests.
• Fill Clozapine orders.
• Check packaged medications (pre-pack).
• Supervise other Pharmacists and Floor Technicians.
• Assist pharmacy technicians as needed.
• On-Call when scheduled.
• Ensure PV2 meets run-time commitments and quality.
• Abide by federal/state laws for pharmacy practice.
• Follow policies to ensure safe medication use and CQI program.
• Report medication errors to management.
