Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Parking Service Coordinator to provide on-site support for parking operations, enforcement, and customer service. The role serves as the primary contact for staff and visitors, triaging requests, educating customers, and applying policies consistently.

This position is 100% on site, Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm, with responsibilities including patrols, incident reporting, and coordination with vendors to ensure safe, efficient facility operations.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience in customer service, public contact, parking enforcement, or facilities operations.
• Must have and maintain a valid Class "C" Texas Driver License with acceptable driving record for use of a university vehicle.
• Education requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for inquiries from staff, employees, and external customers; respond, triage, route, and resolve requests professionally.
• Monitor and follow up on pending requests to ensure prompt resolution.
• Provide accurate information, resources, and guidance, including educating customers on services and online tools.
• Maintain working knowledge of policies and updates to ensure consistent communication.
• Interpret and enforce parking regulations and applicable state laws; issue warnings or citations as appropriate.
• Conduct patrols across campus and offsite locations to monitor compliance and identify safety concerns.
• Investigate and resolve parking-related complaints proactively.
• Utilize parking enforcement technologies, including handheld devices and license plate recognition systems.
• Assist motorists with vehicle-related issues such as flat tires and jumpstarts.
• Report criminal activity, traffic issues, and unusual incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Coordinate and support parking facility operations, including equipment installation and vendor services.
