Job summary

Talis Group's client, a Lexington law firm, seeks a Paralegal/Legal Assistant to support its insurance defense practice. You will assist with trial prep, court filings, document production, and deposition-related tasks in a full-time, on-site role in Lexington, KY.

The position offers a full benefits package and a salary range of $65,000-$75,000, with opportunities to support attorneys in reviewing and analyzing documents and communicating routine legal information under supervision.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of related litigation experience; civil defense required.
• Experience with MS Office, as well as legal document management software.
• Good professional writing skills, analytical skills and communication skills needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepares correspondence, drafts pleadings and trial materials for the practice group.
• Assists in management of litigation cases and large projects with extensive document organization.
• Interacts with clients via phone and email; schedules appointments and assists with billing.
• Ensures proper indexing and filing of legal documents using software or other methods.
• Performs miscellaneous and administrative duties as assigned.
