Job summary

A regional healthcare system in Great Falls, MT seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room Circulator to join its surgical services team. The role offers a supportive perioperative environment with favorable nurse-to-patient ratios and a culture of surgical excellence.

Responsibilities include intraoperative care, adherence to standards, patient advocacy, and collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia, and management. On-call rotation and potential Scrub Nurse duties are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• Active, unrestricted RN licensure in the MT State (or compact eligibility).
• ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• Strong nursing principles and asepsis practice.
• Basic computer/electronic charting skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate intraoperative patient care.
• Adhere to AORN standards and institutional guidelines.
• Serve as OR patient advocate and coordinate room workflow.
• Provide direction to Surgical Technicians and support staff.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and Nurse Manager for outcomes.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours cases.
• Possibly function as Scrub Nurse when needed.
