Job summary

Net56, Inc. is seeking a Network Infrastructure Engineer to maintain and support client and internal network systems, ensuring uptime and resiliency.

The role involves hands-on troubleshooting, on-site visits, proactive monitoring, and strong communication with clients and internal teams. The incumbent will configure Cisco switches/routers, VMware/Hyper-V server infrastructure, and FortiGate firewalls, while maintaining thorough documentation and network diagrams.

Qualifications

• CCNA certification required and active.
• Experience with Cisco/HP switches.
• Experience with VMware vCenter and vSphere.
• Experience with Windows, Hyper‑V, and Linux.
• Knowledge of VoIP.
• Experience with Cisco and FortiGate firewalls.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Familiarity with network layout and change-tracking practices.
• Experience in client-facing technical support or network engineering.
• Ability to work independently and travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide client infrastructure support and troubleshooting.
• Respond to outages and travel on-site as needed.
• Deploy, troubleshoot and support firewalls, routing, switching, VoIP, APs, and servers.
• Monitor network performance and maintain inventory and diagrams.
• Configure Cisco devices and server infrastructure tasks (Windows/Hyper‑V/VMware).
• Document changes in ConnectWise and coordinate with teams.
• Support projects and after-hours/weekend service as required.
• Communicate with clients and internal teams to ensure clarity and continuity.
