Sompo Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Reinsurance Claims Intern for a 10-week, on-site program in New York City. You’ll gain practical experience in reinsurance claims and collaborate with cross-functional teams across the US portfolio.

Ideal candidates are pursuing Risk Management or Finance, possess strong analytics and communication skills, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment. This internship offers professional development and exposure to leadership and projects.

Formación

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Risk Management, Finance, or related major.
• Interest in learning niche reinsurance contract language.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and quantitative and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team with changing priorities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsabilidades

• Gain a solid understanding of the Company’s reinsurance claims practices.
• Contribute and add value to the reinsurance claims team.
• Assist with processing and triaging mail.
• Assist with analyzing data and statistics.
• Assist with the review of claims set-up in reinsurance systems.
• Liaise with the Underwriting Support Team and Reinsurance Operations on data and projects.
• Assist the team with special projects.
