Job summary

Madison Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our on-site team in Charlotte, NC. You will perform day-to-day maintenance across apartments, respond to service requests, and help ensure safety and move-in readiness.

The role requires hands-on skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and general repairs, 1+ year of multifamily maintenance preferred, with certifications a plus. We offer strong benefits and a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of maintenance experience (multifamily preferred).
• Certifications (HVAC, EPA, CPO) are a plus.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Providing outstanding customer service to residents and teammates.
• Handling day-to-day maintenance including painting, plumbing, electrical fixtures, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
• Responding quickly and professionally to service requests.
• Ensuring apartments are safe, functional, and move-in ready.
• Working with vendors on specialized projects like landscaping and asphalt repairs.
• Keeping tools, equipment, and work areas safe and organized.
