Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and kitchen equipment in assigned facilities. The role requires driving, climbing, bending, and the ability to work independently or in a team with strong English communication.

The position is on-site in Akron, OH and Canton, OH, with after-hours on-call duties and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training in maintenance preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to work independently or in a team; strong communication in English.
• Completion of an applicable technical training program is desirable.
• Position requires experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical.
• Position requires frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and driving.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lighting, HVAC/R related tasks, plumbing and equipment maintenance in facilities.
• Assist with maintenance and repair of building systems and equipment.
• Perform interior maintenance including cleaning and minor repairs; respond to on-call emergencies after hours.
• Minor plumbing repairs.
• Completes special tasks that include painting, locksmith work, tenant services requests, and general maintenance as assigned.
• This position requires the employee to be on call for after-hours emergencies.
• Complies with all policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials.
