Job summary

Schneider is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician to service trucks and trailers on-site in West Memphis, AR. You’ll work with a stocked service truck and perform tire changes, electrical and engine repairs, and welding as required.

Responsibilities include inspections, diagnostics and estimates, plus clear status updates to drivers and internal teams. Strong math, initiative and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in diesel technology or related field or 1+ year diesel experience.
• Travel to on-site customers is required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable DMV record.
• DOT medical card or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Basic welding skills preferred.
• Experience with computer systems and diagnostic software.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Provide own tools within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site maintenance on trucks, containers, and trailers.
• Conduct tire changes, electrical and engine repairs, welding as needed.
• Complete inspections, diagnoses and work estimations.
• Communicate status updates to drivers and internal customers.
