Job summary

ASEC is seeking a Senior Network Administrator to support mission critical Navy training systems at NAS Fallon, NV. The role provides hands-on leadership for configuring, administering, and securing network infrastructure in a DoD environment.

Requires DoD Top Secret clearance and 9+ years of relevant experience, with CCNP and Linux+ or equivalent OS certs. On-site position with strong emphasis on DISA STIGs, ACAS, and SCAP compliance.

Qualifications

• 9+ years designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructures.
• Required: CCNP Enterprise, Security, or Data Center, and a Linux+ or equivalent OS cert.
• One of SecurityX/CASP+, CCNA, CCSP, GCED, GCIA, GCLD, GDSA, or GFACT certification.
• Experience in network engineering, architecture, or administration.
• Extensive experience supporting the DoD IAVMP.
• Experience configuring, administering, and troubleshooting enterprise switches, routers, firewalls.
• Strong knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, ACLs, and fiber/copper.
• Hands-on Cisco IOS; experience or training with Cisco NX-OS.
• Networking knowledge at CCNA level; ability to resolve complex issues.
• Experience implementing DISA STIGs and using ACAS/SCAP tools.
• Applicable computing environment certification or vendor training.
• Ability to communicate clearly and coordinate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Configure, administer, and maintain network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and proxies.
• Implement secure configurations per DISA STIGs and related guidance.
• Design physical and logical network layouts with segmentation and access controls.
• Troubleshoot complex connectivity, routing, and performance issues.
• Monitor availability and performance; propose reliability improvements.
• Perform vulnerability assessments with ACAS/SCAP and remediate findings.
• Support DoD IAVMP directives, tracking actions and compliance.
• Maintain configuration baselines, backups, inventories, and diagrams.
• Plan upgrades, replacements, and changes through change management.
• Coordinate with Government stakeholders and technical teams; provide mentorship.
