Job summary

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks Millwrights for a project in Wilmington, NC. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3-months.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints and schematics, dismantling and moving machinery, aligning equipment, and performing preventative maintenance. This on-site role requires strict safety adherence, ability to travel as needed, and lifting up to fifty pounds on a regular basis.

Qualifications

• Reads blueprint and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Observes SIC safety and quality processes at all times.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprint and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Dismantles machines, using hammers, wrenches, crowbars, and other hand tools.
• Moves machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
• Constructs foundation for machines, using hand tools and building materials.
• Aligns machines and equipment, using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
• Unload, inspect and move equipment, using rigging, hoisting devices, chain falls and hydraulic-lift trucks or gantry overhead cranes.
• Must understand load properties of cables, ropes, hoists, cranes and know all hand/crane signals.
• Repairs and lubricates machines and equipment.
• Works within precise limits or standards of accuracy.
• Lift and carry objects of varying weights.
• Detect, recognize and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
