Job summary

WSP USA is seeking an MEP Engineer focused on construction administration to support building projects across commercial, healthcare, education, and industrial sectors. The role emphasizes on-site embedding with contractors, owners, architects, and IORs to verify MEP systems meet design intent and code compliance.

You will review RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and field reports, maintain field observations, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve live healthcare environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline; or equivalent experience with IOR/Construction admin exposure.
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in building system projects with a focus on construction administration.
• Experience reviewing construction documents, specs, and submittal packages.
• Working knowledge of MEP systems and applicable codes (Title 24, NFPA, IBC, IPC/CPC, ASHRAE).

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical and plumbing construction administration support from start to close-out.
• Review RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, product data, and field reports.
• Maintain on-site presence with field observations and coordination.
• Collaborate with contractors, IORs, architects, and project teams on issues and changes.
• Assist with cost/schedule impact assessments and field clarifications.
• Coordinate with internal design teams to resolve live healthcare environment constraints.
