Greater Good Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for a primary care clinic in Ammon, ID. The role supports a Nurse Practitioner with high-touch, coordinated care for senior patients in an outpatient setting.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years as a Medical Assistant, phlebotomy experience, and a passion for value-based care. This on-site role offers a collaborative team environment and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completed Medical Assistant onboarding program.
• 2+ years as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Primary Care experience is a plus.
• 1+ year of Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification preferred.
• 6+ months of laboratory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical care to patients and support related activities.
• Engage with patient panels alongside the Nurse Practitioner.
• Act as patient advocate to navigate health resources.
• Maintain efficient clinic flow and timely rooming.
• Prepare charts, rooms, and escort patients to exam rooms.
• Take vitals, document history, review medications, prep for procedures.
• Educate patients on preventative care and disease management.
• Assist with vaccinations and procedures per provider direction.
• Oversee lab orders, blood draws, sample prep and shipment.
• Support check-out, referrals, and post-visit follow-ups.
• Schedule follow-ups, imaging, and labs as needed.
• Process medication refill requests and coordinate scheduling.
