Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. seeks a Mechanical Project Manager to lead field operations for mechanical work on a Phoenix project. You will ensure safety, financial performance, and team development on site, guiding the mechanical staff to timely, quality completion.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in CM/Engineering and at least 3 years of experience with complex mechanical systems, plus strong subcontract management and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering is required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience on complex mechanical and plumbing construction projects.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems and installation methods.
• Understanding of plumbing/mechanical codes and installation practices.
• Experience leading project teams and managing subs.

Responsibilities

• Participate with Project Director in development of the project chart of accounts.
• Develop detailed project contract status reports.
• Coordinate with project superintendent on site logistics planning.
• Oversee pay requests and monitor project costs.
• Forecast quarterly Total Cost Projection reports.
• Lead safety programs and ensure quality control processes on site.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and owners.
