Job summary

GCX is seeking an experienced Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineer to lead engineering and production transfers, DFMEA collaboration, and process development. You will oversee design-for-manufacture, tool development, and coordination with suppliers to ensure quality and on-time transfers.

The role requires 7+ years in manufacturing environments with CNC and metal finishing, strong problem-solving skills, and leadership abilities. Occasional remote work in special cases may be approved.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.
• 7+ years of related experience in manufacturing engineering with CNC, sheet metal, finishing, and transfers.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 / ISO 13485 quality management practices and CAPA.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; capable of leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering/manufacturing activities for transfers of GCX products and components to suppliers.
• Lead DFQ with suppliers and DFA/DFM/DFMEA collaborations.
• Develop and verify manufacturing processes; validate tooling and assembly procedures.
• Provide engineering leadership and mentorship to projects and technical staff.
• Support lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement across production.
• Coordinate with QA, manufacturing, and supplier quality to resolve issues.
