Job summary

SSi People is seeking a Project Engineer to support capital project execution at a manufacturing site. The role focuses on coordinating infrastructure-related work, updating drawings in AutoCAD, and delivering projects safely and efficiently during a defined assignment period.

The ideal candidate has a engineering degree with exposure to plant systems, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in a related discipline (Industrial, Mechanical, Civil).
• Working knowledge of plant infrastructure systems: mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
• Strong organizational and communication skills for a manufacturing setting.
• Experience supporting capital projects in a plant environment preferred.
• Familiarity with industrial safety standards and project execution practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support capital project execution through scope development, layout reviews, and implementation activities.
• Develop, review, and update drawings using AutoCAD to support project planning and execution.
• Coordinate across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines related to plant infrastructure.
• Participate in site walks, equipment layouts, installation planning, documentation, tracking, and progress reporting.
• Manage moving pieces, contractors, and shop floor layouts; coordinate permits and safety equipment placement.
• Assist with executing the project from start to finish, planning contractors, and managing layouts and flow.
