Job summary

Clarios is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer - 1st Shift for our Middletown, DE facility to drive continuous improvement and optimize equipment performance on the plant floor. You will collaborate with operations and maintenance to reduce downtime and improve process reliability.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on manufacturing experience, PLC knowledge, and data-analysis skills. This onsite position includes a 1st shift schedule, with potential for overtime based on production needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of hands-on manufacturing experience including troubleshooting equipment/process issues.
• Working knowledge of PLC programming and ladder logic; programming a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills with root cause identification.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary engineering support on 1st shift; troubleshoot equipment and process issues in real time.
• Identify and eliminate downtime, bottlenecks, and scrap through root cause analysis.
• Analyze production data to uncover trends and opportunities; drive measurable process gains.
• Lead and support capital and continuous improvement projects from concept through implementation.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and equipment standards/layouts.
• Drive Lean / Six Sigma initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and equipment performance.
