Falcon IT and Staffing Solutions seeks a Financial Controller to design and implement accounting processes, policies, and internal controls for a growing manufacturing environment in Los Angeles. You will own close processes and financial reporting, partnering with the CEO and CFO to ensure accurate, timely records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Solid working knowledge of U.S. GAAP; manufacturing, cost accounting, or inventory experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems and advanced Excel; Smartsheet a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, including GAAP financial statements.
• Design, document, and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Establish standard costing, job costing, and inventory valuation processes for manufacturing operations.
• Manage GL, AP, AR, and payroll coordination, directly or via staff oversight.
• Prepare and present financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to CEO and leadership.
• Oversee cash management, banking relationships, and cash flow forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax filing requirements; coordinate with CPA/tax preparers as needed.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors and tax advisors.
• Partner with HR and Operations on payroll accuracy and cross-functional finance needs.
• Recommend and implement accounting systems and process improvements; recruit/train accounting staff.
