Job summary

Teledyne Qioptiq is seeking an energetic Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join our Engineering team at the Miamisburg site. We are targetingSpring 2027 for current enrolled students in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering programs.

The role involves assisting with design standards, calculations, and process engineering studies to identify efficient approaches while supporting manufacturing projects in terms of safety, cost, schedule, and quality.

Qualifications

• Enrolled college student pursuing a B.S. in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
• GPA 3.0 or above.
• On-site work in Miamisburg, OH.
• Coop experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership in campus activities.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Familiar with manufacturing engineering principles (cycle time, layouts, Kaizen, lean).
• CAD knowledge: AutoCAD or SolidWorks (or both).
• U.S. citizenship required per DOE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Familiarize with engineering design and drafting standards.
• Assist in producing calculations, spreadsheets, reports, drawings, and sketches for projects.
• Assist in developing conceptual process designs to determine efficient approaches.
• Support manufacturing and project goals with safety, cost, schedule, and quality focus.
• Perform routine engineering tasks under direct supervision.
