Job summary

Ellsworth Corporation, a global distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment and adhesive manufacturer, currently has a Manufacturing Engineer opportunity in Sparks, NV. This is an on-site role; candidates must reliably commute to the facility.

The role develops and optimizes manufacturing processes for assigned units, including design, qualification, workflow, and workforce utilization, while guiding and mentoring production teams and collaborating with quality and packaging suppliers.

Qualifications

• 3 years of industrial or manufacturing engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems promptly.
• Strong group problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate manufacturing processes to improve quality, efficiency and reduce costs.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide guidance and training to Production Team and third-party packaging suppliers.
• Support Quality Department on manufacturing-related issues and root cause analysis.
• Estimate labor costs and improve processes where variances are identified.
• Perform manufacturing qualification on new, replacement or alternative components.
• Design customer packaging solutions with internal and external customers.
• Research and qualify new manufacturing equipment, layout, workflow and workforce utilization.
• Determine equipment, parts and tools needed for production.
