Job summary

Albemarle is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for the Magnolia, AR site. The role involves safe maintenance and repair of mechanical process equipment and piping, using hand tools and power tools, with a focus on root-cause analysis. You must be able to work in shifts and participate in plant rescue duties as needed.

Candidate should demonstrate safe work practices, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment while in operation. Familiarity with SAP and Lotus is a plus.

Qualifications

• Understand and apply safe work practices in chemical plant maintenance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot while equipment runs.
• Ability to work in a team and accept shift work requirements.
• Must respond to call-outs and work in high/ confined spaces.
• Familiar with centrifugal pumps and hydraulic systems.
• Experience using SAP or similar enterprise software.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe maintenance and repair of mechanical process equipment and piping.
• Use a variety of hand, portable, and stationary power tools.
• Apply root cause analysis to failures and repairs.
• Be part of plant rescue team or fire brigade as required.
• Maintain personal and team safety; adapt to shift schedules.
