Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED with manufacturing quality experience
• Experience in automated manufacturing quality or process engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM preferred and automotive quality exposure
• Proficiency with problem-solving tools: Six Sigma, DOE, 8D, 5 Why
• Lean manufacturing tools: 5S, Kanban, Poka-yoke, VSM
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Apply 8D methodology to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions
• Lead SPC activities and monitor quality metrics on the line
• Identify sources of variation and establish tolerance limits
• Support design and assembly concepts to minimize nominal variation
• Determine inspection equipment and facility requirements
• Coordinate containment and root-cause analysis with cross-functional teams
• Drive continuous improvement to prevent recurrence of issues
• Lead and mentor others in problem-solving and lean practices
