Job summary

Pharmacy Alternatives, an affiliate of PharMerica, seeks a Pharmacy Director to lead day-to-day operations, manage costs, and drive performance across locations. The role emphasizes change leadership, customer service excellence, and compliance in a non-retail, long‑term care pharmacy environment.

Location is Christiansburg, VA; schedule is Mon–Fri 8:00am–5:00pm with flexibility for operations support. Salary based on experience and licensure; strong benefits package included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• MBA; PharmD preferred.
• Management/supervisory experience in pharmacy/healthcare.
• P&L responsibility and LTC experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Control pharmacy costs to meet budgeted cost per script.
• Provide leadership to build and develop teams.
• Maintain positive client relationships and conduct quarterly reviews.
• Communicate with clients (DONs, Administrators, Staff RNs) to resolve issues.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and reporting of core processes.
• Oversee staffing, payroll, and inventory to meet client needs.
